The Sony FX30 is a compact Super 35 / APS-C Cinema Line camera designed for professional filmmaking, documentary work, commercials, and content production. Thanks to its 26MP back-illuminated APS-C sensor, the FX30 delivers detailed 4K images with strong dynamic range and excellent low-light performance. As a result, it offers a flexible cinema camera platform in a lightweight body.

Moreover, the FX30 records 4K internally at up to 120 fps, making it suitable for both standard production and high-quality slow motion. It supports 10-bit 4:2:2 recording, while Sony’s S-Log3 and S-Cinetone profiles provide flexible options for grading or faster turnaround. In addition, 4K recording up to 60p uses oversampling from a 6K capture area for increased detail.

For handheld work, the camera features 5-axis in-body image stabilization. Meanwhile, Sony’s Fast Hybrid AF combines phase-detection autofocus with advanced subject tracking. Therefore, operators can work efficiently with Sony E-mount autofocus lenses, even during fast-moving shoots.

Furthermore, the FX30 includes professional Cinema Line features such as timecode support, Cine EI modes, user LUT monitoring, dual CFexpress Type A / SD card slots, and full-size HDMI output.
